Surgeon Rear Admiral (Retd) Nicholas E. L. W. Jayasekera is the Founder President of SLCOMM. He retired in 2017 after a 34-year career. He served as DGHS Navy and CEO of KDU Hospital.

• Inducted as first President on March 18, 2016.
• Doctorate in Medical Administration from Colombo University.
• Recipient of the Vishishta Seva Vibhushanaya (VSV).

Served as DGHS Army and Secretary to the Ministry of Health during the COVID-19 pandemic response. Consultant Radiologist at Army Hospital Colombo.

• Inducted in March 2017.
• First medical officer to actively perform field surgeries in active combat.
• Awarded RWP, RSP, VSV, and USP.

Specialist in Aviation Medicine and DGHS of the SLAF. He leads the entire medical branch of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

• Inducted on May 20, 2018.
• Advanced training in Aerospace Medicine in India and USA.
• National Delegate to the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM).

Retired DGHS Navy who joined in 1985. During his tenure, he focused on international military medicine organization ties.

• Inducted on May 10, 2019.
• Collaborated on Diving Medicine and Techniques.
• Led medical outreach in remote areas like Welioya.

Consultant Anaesthetist who served for 34 years. He was recently appointed as Chairman of Lanka Hospitals Group in 2025.

• Inducted in September 2020.
• First Director of the new Narahenpita Army Hospital (2015).
• Advanced training at Royal London Hospital, UK.

Director Medical Services at SLAF HQ. A leader during the COVID-19 pandemic and strong advocate for mental health in the military.

• Inducted in March 2022.
• Commanding Officer of SLAF Hospital Katunayake for 8 years.
• Established water purification plants in welfare centers.

Director Naval Dental Services. Instrumented the first mobile dental surgical unit utilizing a refurbished bus for rural service.

• Inducted on March 24, 2023.

Orthopedic specialist and Consultant Surgeon at Army Hospital Colombo. Expert in sports-related injury and arthroscopy.

• Led knowledge exchange on trauma and combat medicine.
• Consultant at Lanka Hospitals and Asiri Surgical.

Former President of SLCOMM and DGHS for the Sri Lanka Navy. During his tenure he focused on the modernization of naval medical facilities and the holistic well-being of service personnel.

• President of the Naval Buddhist Association.
• Awarded the Uttama Seva Padakkama (USP).

Inducted as the 10th President of SLCOMM on 25 April 2026 at Eagles Lagoon View Banquet & Convention Hall, Katunayake. His year's theme is "Defenders Above and Beyond: Strengthening Military Medicine for a Resilient Future."
